Pastels Demonstration by Peter Allen

The Pastels Demonstration by Peter Allen on 11th April was a fun and inspiring session. A good group of us gathered at St Saviours Family Centre to watch Peter work his magic.

Peter explained about the differences in paper  – giving us invaluable tips to make sure we could get better results from our work.

Starting with a plain brown background Peter roughly drew an outline of his image and then began with the sky. In just a few minutes the paper came to life and you really could picture yourself under the puffy clouds. Having worked with pastels myself, Peter made it look very easy, but I can assure you it isn’t!!
